June 6-8



The Fun Days weekend is fast approaching and the Annawan Area Chamber of Commerce and other organizations are working hard to get ready.  Below you will find the agenda at this time.  Make plans to come and spend some time in Annawan June 6-8!

 

Friday - June 6

6 p.m. - Little Miss Blaze - High School gym.  There is a $1.00 admission.

7 p.m. - Food & Grill sponsored by ACEDC at the BankORION parking lot.

8 p.m. - Band - Beer Garden in BankORION parking lot.


Saturday - June 7

9 a.m. to noon - Giant Goose Youth Day located at Izaak Walton Giant Goose Conservation - prizes and games

7 p.m. - Tacos - proceeds benefit the Relay for Life - BankORION parking lot

8 p.m. to midnight - Live music and beer garden - BankORION parking lot

 

Sunday - June 8

10 a.m. - 3-on-3 basketball, registration at 9:30 a.m. - Sacred Heart Church

11 a.m. - Food available at various sites

11 a.m. - Tacos - Proceeds benefit Relay for Life

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Kids Fun Park - behind the community center

11 a.m. - Sign up for parade - Annawan High School

12 noon - Fun Days Parade - sponsored by Annawan Kiwanis Club

12 noon - Concession stand at Howe's Park - Annawan High School Spanish Club fundraiser

12 noon - 8 p.m. - Beer garden - BankORION parking lot

12:30 p.m. - Pedal tractor pull - sign up at Community Center

1 p.m. - Mixed Men's & Women's Rolle Bolle - three games for points.  Register at Howe's Park

1 p.m. - Pie Contest & Auction - Community Center.  Sponsor - Annawan-Alba's Women's Club

1-3 p.m. - Clown -face painting.  Located at BankORION parking lot

1:30 p.m. - Kids Pedal Tractor pull - On Rt. 6 near Community Center

2 p.m. - Corn Hole Tournament - BankORION parking lot. 

2 p.m. - Bingo - Annawan-Alba Fire Station

 

-New this year-

This year we will be having a cornhole tournament (bean bag tournament) on Sunday, June 8 at 2 p.m.  The tournament will be held at the BankORION parking lot.  The tournament will be $20.00 per 2 person team.  It is a double elimination tournament.  We will be following the official cornhole rules found on the American Cornhole Association website at www.playcornhole.org  If you have any questions, please contact Mike Guens at (309) 507-2882.
